RMBL highlights marmot research

Matt Patelle's story is featured this week at,"What's Going On At RMBL."

Matt writes, "This year marks the fiftieth anniversary of the marmot study here at RMBL, and it started with a...sputter. The incredible amount of snow has pushed our timeline back by weeks. Team Marmot arrived mid-April hoping to see individuals emerge from their hibernacula. What we were met was snow, and lots of it. Our first week in Gothic consisted of sitting in our cabin, watching movies, writing papers, eating way too much food, and blogging while storms dropped three feet of new snow. We didn't see our first marmot till the first week of May!"
